Member firms of the Green Builders Council of DC have built over 120,000,000 square feet of projects certified by the world's foremost expert in Green Buildings, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).

 

GBCDC members have completed over 100 LEED-certified projects in the District.

GBCDC is committed to providing the District's workers with unparalleled training in eco-friendly construction.

 

Toward that end, GBCDC helped develop a first-of-its-kind 'green' training module for workers in the building and construction trades. The curriculum was officially unveiled in August 2008.

GBCDC and Goodwill of Greater Washington graduate their 200th student since the inception of the Green Pathways DC program.

GBCDC, through its partnership with Goodwill, has been awarded a highly-competitive 'Pathways Out of Poverty' grant from USDOL.
