Recent studies show that as much as 40 percent of carbon emissions come from residential and commercial buildings (primarily from their cooling, heating, lighting, and construction).

 

There's no doubt about it: The work we're doing to build more sustainable and eco-friendly projects is a vital component of any serious effort to preserve and protect our environment.

GBCDC members have been constructing 'green buildings' for over a decade. And they are just getting started -- with planned projects, it's conceivable GBCDC member firms will eclipse 200,000,000 square feet of projects certified by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
